What Is the DR² Stride System™

The DR² Stride System™ is a structured, physician-led approach to lower-extremity pain that treats the entire movement chain, not just a single joint. Hip, knee, and ankle/foot problems often overlap—altered gait, weakness, or instability in one area can overload the others.

Rather than chasing symptoms, the Stride System evaluates how your joints work together during real-world movement such as walking, standing, climbing stairs, and balance.

This system integrates image-guided diagnostics, regenerative therapies, functional medicine principles, rehabilitation strategy, and—when appropriate—minimally invasive interventions into one coordinated plan.

The DR² Stride System™ is built on the same DR² Spine-as-a-System™ philosophy used throughout our practice—treating movement as an integrated chain rather than isolated joints.

Who the Stride System Is For

The DR² Stride System™ may be appropriate if you experience:

  • Pain with walking, standing, or climbing stairs

  • Morning stiffness or “first-step” pain

  • Swelling, clicking, or instability in the lower body

  • Limited mobility affecting work, exercise, or daily life

  • Ongoing pain despite physical therapy, injections, or medications

Not every condition or patient is a candidate for every therapy; eligibility is determined through evaluation and imaging review.

The DR² Restore Motion Method™

Every Stride System plan follows the same structured framework:

PRIME → MAP → TARGET → REPAIR → RESTORE

  • PRIME

Identify lifestyle, biomechanical, and inflammatory factors that may limit healing

  • MAP

Define true pain generators and movement compensation patterns

  • TARGET

Deliver precise, image-guided care when appropriate

  • REPAIR

Support tissue recovery and functional strength

  • RESTORE

Return to confident walking, balance, and endurance

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your evaluation focuses on understanding how you move, not just where it hurts.

You can expect:

  • Comprehensive history and movement assessment
  • Review of prior imaging and treatments
  • Targeted exam of hip, knee, and ankle/foot mechanics
  • A clear, personalized plan with realistic timelines

How Progress Is Tracked

Progress is measured by outcomes that matter in daily life:

  • Walking and stair tolerance
  • Morning stiffness and first-step pain
  • Balance and sit-to-stand ability
  • Return to work, exercise, and recreation
  • Sleep quality and overall function

Care Transparency

The DR² systems are clinical decision-making frameworks, not devices or guarantees of outcome. Individual results vary based on diagnosis, health factors, and adherence to care plans.
